MMSU researchers presented in international conferences

Six research papers of Mariano Marcos State University were presented during the 2nd International Conference on Education and Technology (ICETECH) last August 25, 2021 via Zoom.

Sponsored by Universitas PGRI Madiun, Indonesia, the event provided opportunity for evaluation and knowledge exchange among scholars all over the world concerning science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Of the six papers presented, three were from the College of Teacher Education (CTE) entitled: “The Effectiveness of ICT Integration in Teaching Sciences Concepts” by Romelyn T. Lagura; “Antibacterial Property of the Formulated Polyherbal Soap from the Averrhoa bilimbi (Kamias), Allium sativum (Garlic), Musa paradisiaca L. (Banana peelings) Extracts” by Kristel Kaye Cabasaan; and “Antibacterial Property of Oreganum vulgare (Oregano) Leaf Extract-Infused Nypa frutucans (Nipa) Sanitizing Gel Against Staphylococcus Aureus” by Marc Louie M. Pasion.

The other three papers were: “Antibacterial Potential of Locally Formulated Disinfectant/Antiseptic from Nipa Bioethanol” by James Paul T. Madigal of the College of Arts and Science (CAS); “Phenotypic and Molecular Diversity of Native Chicken Genetic Groups in the Philippines” by Jeremy Christian Q. Santiago of the Research Directorate (RD); and “Quantifying Impacts of Climate and Land Use Change on Groundwater Hydrology and Sustainability of the Quiaoit River Watershed” by Julius I Jimenez of the College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development (CAFSD).

The said event aimed at bringing together prominent academic scientists, researchers, and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
