Biography

Mr. Rodel C. Cabugon is a Computer Science graduate from Mariano Marcos State University. As a programmer, he is instrumental in the development of various softwares, web applications such as the MMSU Research and Development official website, http://research.mmsu.edu.ph; AGMET website, http://research.mmsu.edu.ph/agmet/; and the ILARRDEC website, http://ilarrdec.mmsu.edu.ph, among others. These websites are now being used by the Research Directorate and ILARRDEC where varied information related to research are being uploaded for widespread dissemination to various stakeholders. In addition to these are the database systems that are being used by the Research Directorate such as the Research Management Information System, Human Resources Information System and Indigenous Food Plants Databank System.

He is also a programmer for the development of a drought-index map of Ilocos Norte, the Agriculture and Fisheries Research and Development Information System at MMSU, and Web geographic information system project. All of these are significant tools that provide guidance in decision-making of policy makers. Likewise, Mr. Cabugon is being tapped as information technology specialist in the maintenance of the local area networking and other IT-related matters of the Research Directorate.
