Dr. Marivic M. Alimbuyuguen graduated with her BS in Agricultural Education from the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), City of Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines in 1983, cum laude; MS in Rural Sociology from the University of the Philippines (UP) in Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines in 1988; and PhD in Rural Development with cognates in Anthropology and Development Communication from MMSU in 2002. She is one of the authors of the book, General Sociology Coursebook published in 2009. As the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor at MMSU, she teaches major subjects in sociology and conducts social researches in society and culture, rural development, and human rights.
