Cheryll Didi Nellie N. Obra is a faculty member of Mariano Marcos State University for 15 years. She is presently the Chairman of the Department of Physical Therapy and concurrently the College Secretary of the College of Health Sciences. She is a member of the Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) of the Commission on Higher Education, thus, serves as an official accreditor for physical therapy education in Region 1.

She completed her Doctor of Philosophy major in Development Education at the Divine Word College of Laoag in 2013.  She finished her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila in 2008 of which she was a full scholar under the University Manpower Development Program. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the Our Lady of Fatima University (formerly Fatima Medical Science Foundation, Inc.), Valenzuela City in 1998. She is a lifetime member of the Philippine Physical Therapy Association, the only accredited professional organization for physical therapists by the Professional Regulation Commission.

She has conducted funded research projects on indigenous peoples by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development Consortium-Region 1 Health Research and Development Consortium (PCHRD-R1HRDC) and women in nontraditional occupations by the MMSU.
