Biography

Dr. Eliza T. Samson is an Associate Professor V and currently the Dean of Mariano Marcos  State University-College of Teacher Education, a position she held since August of 2012. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1984 at MMSU College of Education, Master of Arts in Education major in Values Education at the University of Asia and the Pacific, Manila in 1994, and Doctor of Education major in Educational Management in 2002 at MMSU Graduate School. During the early part of her career, she did not only focus on classroom instruction but also been involved in advocacy work and researches related to Gender and Development, Health Social Science, Guidance and Counseling, Program Development and Management. In partnership with other universities and colleges in the country, she participated in collaborative researches for the development of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers, improvement of curriculum and instruction and transformative education. Aside from leadership and consultancy work in the conduct of researches in the college, she is highly involved in advising graduate research undertakings both in the master’s and doctorate programs of the MMSU – Graduate School
