Biography

Vladimir P. Ibañez, an Assistant Professor IV, is a tenured faculty member of Mariano Marcos State University, Computer Engineering Department for 15 years. He graduated from AMA University in Quezon City with an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering. Also, he finished his master’s degree in Computer Engineering at Mapúa University, Intramuros Manila and currently taking up his doctorate at the same school.  He is a Professional Computer Engineer as certified by the Computer Engineering Certification Board. Aside from teaching in undergraduate and graduate studies of the university, he is actively involved in research and an active member of the National Bioenergy Research and Innovation Center (NBERIC). His previous contribution in the field of research is the Development of Remote Monitoring and Control System for MMSU i4.0 Platform: Energy Self-Sufficient Small Scale Smart Laboratory using MQTT Protocol, which he presented in London, United Kingdom during the 2020 International Congress on Information and Communication Technology. Publications and other research contributions include the Development of Remote Monitoring and Control System for the Energy Self-sufficient Bioethanol Distiller, and Development of an Android Application for Power Consumption Management System using Programmable Toggle Switch. He has served as department chairman of computer engineering from 2016 to 2018 and the Chief of National Service Training Program (NSTP) from 2018  to 2021.
