Biography

The researcher is a registered nurse and a graduate of Mariano Marcos State University. He’s been with the University for more than a decade now.  He has attended seminars, trainings, conferences, as well as presented research papers in different fora. The researcher is into doing studies/researches concerning human health. In addition, climate change or global warming issues has also caught the attention and interest of the researcher.

Currently, the researcher is implementing a project entitled “Documentation and Analysis of the Climate-Related Health Impacts in the Province of Ilocos Norte”, and it has three (3) progressive studies. The project aims to identify the leading diseases in the Province, draw  a link/association between weather and diseases, map out the leading diseases in every municipality along with the geographical locations of RHU’s, and other medical institution in the locality. Also, traditional health practices with regard to weather extreme will be documented by the researcher to supplement the existing WHO directives. Moreover, the researcher is also developing a database of the sets of data gathered. He further stressed out the importance of the information elicited from the study/project as these would guide and educate us in addressing the ill effects of climate change.
