Project F1 is a comprehensive community involvement activity of the department that aims to promote IT awareness and IT literacy. The impact assessment of SIFE project can be a basis in developing the same for Project F1, that is by determining the effect of the implemented activities along social, technological, economic, environmental and political aspect. An instrument to measure these impacts shall be designed and evaluated for this purpose.

Present Status of the Research Work:

Documentations for Project F1 activities have been prepared for reference. Starting October 2010, the following documentations were prepared and developed:

  1. The project proposal for Adopt-a-School Program (this program was eventually renamed as Project F1) was prepared for reference.
  2. An initial training needs instrument was developed and floated to target clients.
  3. A MOA was prepared and accomplished by the DCS and Banna Central Elementary School (BCES).
  4. A new project proposal was prepared for Project F1 as a continuation of the Adopt-a-School Program and with new activities incorporated to the previous proposal.
  5. An Equipment Loan Agreement was prepared and signed by DCS and BCES for the Loan-a-PC program.
  6. A training module was prepared for some of the hands-on trainings conducted.
  7. A user manual for the computerized election system for Pupil Government Organization was developed.
  8. Flyers for Project F1 and its activities were developed.
Monitoring and evaluation documents were accomplished, submitted/compiled for reference and for AACCUP evaluations. These include the following:
  1. Compiled AACCUP exhibits of Project F1 documentations
  2. Accomplished Out-Campus Monitoring sheets
  3. Project F1 Terminal reports
  4. Accomplishment reports
  5. Workplans/Doable plans
In September 17, 2013, an initial version of the Impact Study for Project F1 was prepared and shown as exhibit during the AACCUP Level 3 Phase 2 visit. The feedback of the Accreditators is for the DCS to prepare an impact of what was achieved, not what was done.

Expected Output

The paper will benefit the following stakeholders:

  • Accreditors - the paper will serve as an exhibit for accreditation
  • Extension Directorate - the paper will serve as reference of monitoring and evaluation
  • Extension coordinator - the paper will serve as reference and guide for developing impact studies to all conducted extension activities of CAS implementing units/departments.
