Brief Description | The study determines the effect of various potting mixtures in the growth and survival of kawayan tinik (Bambusa blumeana) propagules. Bamboo cuttings will be raised in the nursery following the one-node technology technique developed by MMSU in propagating bamboo planting stocks. After three months, propagated cuttings will be transplanted in plastic pots filled with garden soil and rice hull. The study will be laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four replications and four treatments. Three (3) cutting samples will be used per treatment. A total of forty eight (48) bamboo propagules will be used in the study. The data gathered will be analyzed using the SPSS 14.0 software for Windows. Significant results will be further analyzed using LSD. Soil analysis will also be done after gathering all the data to determine the soil's physical and chemical properties after the application of bamboo biochar and compost fertilizer. |
