Biography
Ms. Hazel G. Obien is a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture graduate from Mariano Marcos State University in April 2013. After graduation, she worked as an agriculturist and a training facilitator in a private company, where they trained and supervised farmers in conducting good agricultural practices (GAP) for onion production for export. In 2017, she then joined working in MMSU as a Science Aide where she was involved in various research projects.
After working on a contractual basis, she secured a permanent position as a Science Research Assistant. Currently, she is involved in researches on garlic, a very important crop in the region, particularly in the multiplication of clean planting material through tissue culture. She is also involved in other research on the conservation, varietal development, and production management of vegetables and root crops.
