Biography
Ms. Rhea R. Espiritu serves as Instructor I at Mariano Marcos State University – College of Aquatic Sciences and Applied Technology. She is also the In-Charge of the Center for Divers Training Education (CDTE) of the College. She just finished her graduate degree in Master of Science in Biology this 2021 at Mariano Marcos State University – Graduate School. She specializes in marine ecology, marine resources, corals and coral reefs, and research techniques in marine biology. She is a holder of 1-Star Open Water Scientific Diver, 2-Star Advanced Diver, and 2-Star Rescue Diver licenses.
Before venturing into instruction, she was worked as Research Assistant under the project titled, “Resource Assessment, Biological Evaluation and Phytochemical Screening of Economically Important Seaweeds of Ilocos Province”, under the supervision of Prof. Andres Y.Tungpalan and applied for permanency as Science Research Assistant of the College.
She is currently involved in the conduct of research as Study Leader of the newly approved project of MMSU and DOST-PCAARRD titled, “Assessment of the Reproductive Biology, Ecology and Biomass Production of Porphyra spp. in Northwestern Luzon.”
