Biography

Love Grace D. Campano is a full-time faculty member at the College of Agriculture Food and Sustainable Development of the Mariano Marcos State University in the City of Batac, Ilocos Norte. Before she joined the teaching force of MMSU in 1995, she worked as a Science Research Assistant for three years. She teaches undergraduate courses in Development Communication for the past 25 years.

She was designated as the coordinator of the Regional Applied Communication Office (RACO) of the Ilocos Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (ILAARRDEC) from 2008-2013. In 2013, she was granted a three-month stint as an Applied Communication Expert (ACE) on Quality Documentation and Publication, at the Rural Development Administration-International Technology Cooperation Center (RDA-ITCC) Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, from September 24-December 22.

At present, she is the regional coordinator of the Knowledge Management Cluster of ILAARRDEC. As the cluster coordinator, she spearheaded the conduct of the Regional Farm and Industry Encounter on S&T Agenda (FIESTA) on Bamboo and Seaweed, in 2017 and Oyster Mushroom and Sea Cucumber, in 2018. She also led the consortium as co-implementor of the national clustered FIESTA on Halal Goat and Biofertilizer and Biopesticides in 2019.

For the past years, she led two ATI-funded projects on “Valuing the Potentials of Rice Crop Manager (RCM) for Agricultural Productivity from 2019-2020 and “Communication Strategies Responsive to the Adoption of Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) in Region 1” in 2018. She was also involved in PCAARRD-funded projects to include “STCBF on Climate Resilient Technologies for Climate Change Vulnerable Areas” in 2018-2020; the “LAHI Convergence for the Development of AFFNR Technopreneurs:  Towards a Vibrant and Sustainable Commodity Program in the Ilocos” in 2009-2011; and the PHILRAA-Funded project on “Ensuring Year round Supply of Quality Tomato Through S&T in 2015-2016.  

She has attended various trainings, seminars and conferences in the national and international levels such as Event Management, Knowledge Management, Writing journal articles, and series of webinars.

Ms. Campano is also being tapped as evaluator and research panel during commodity research reviews, and undergraduate theses.  She has also shared her expertise in some training workshops along her fields of specialization.
