Brief Description
This is the Study 3 of the project "Establishment of Seed Production and Storage System for a Sustainable Organic Crop Production".
  • Nutrient and pest management of seedling production
  • Possible studies for nutrient management - solid or liquid, method of application, application of CRH either mixed in the soil or topical application with specified rate, sandy or OGS
Research efforts will be focused on the development of organic seedling management protocol for specific crops. Specific areas to be studied will include seedbed preparation; water; pest and nutrient management, among others. To measure treatment effect, the following parameters will be gathered:
  1. Percent germination
  2. Seedling vigour
  3. Seedling uniformity
  4. Prevalence of insect pests and diseases
Expected Output

Developed strategies for organic vegetable seedling production
