Ms. Aleta E. Dumaoal is a University Research Associate I. She took her Master of Agriculture at MMSU, City of Batac in 1990 to 1993. As a researcher, she conducts several researches in vegetable crops such as tomato, eggplant, pole sitao, finger pepper, among others. She was one of the lead in the development of three tomato hybrids (MMSU tomato hybrid 1, MMSU tomato hybrid 2, and MMSU tomato hybrid 3) and were published in non-refereed journals.
In pursuit for the advancement of her line of interest, she successfully did some evaluation studies in different bittergourd varieties (2003-2005), which won awards in regional symposia. She is currently working on researches in pole sitao varieties which are recommended for Ilocos production; the research paper has already won several recognitions and awards. To siphon the field experiments on these crops being done, part of her research work was on the development of postharvest technologies for vegetables. Other researches where Ms. Dumaoal is involved with, is inline with micropropaation studies. Her experiences in laboratory work was an added skill to her, which made her to be part in micropropagation studies such as in FB Cachola breadfruit and MMSU SRO sweet jackfruit.
