Brief Description
One of the indispensable components of the K to 12 curriculum is Technology and Livelihood Education. In consonance with the principle learning by doing, this subject has been reinforced to develop the necessary occupational orientation skills and attitudes of the young to prepare them for personal living so that they can become responsible and productive members of society.

Implementation of quality and responsive TLE curricular program is a key to realization of the objectives of Junior and Senior High Schools. This could only be achieved through effective interplay of important elements, such as qualified human resources, functional and adequate physical facilities and materials, and appropriate teaching methodologies. This should be translated into effective instruction and learning experiences of students. In particular, Laboratory High Schools of Teacher Education Institutions need to be prepared in the K to 12 TLE program. As a training ground of prospective teachers, Laboratory High Schools should have a relevant and updated TLE program in order to give prospective teachers the necessary skills and prepare them for their subsequent employment on the basic education sector.

There is, therefore, a need to look into the preparedness of the Laboratory High Schools of SUCs in Region I for the K to 12 TLE curricular program implementation, whether it is in accordance with the prescribed objectives, to determine how it works, and identify its strengths and weaknesses.

Expected Output
A research report on the preparedness of the Laboratory High Schools of SUCs in Region I and a development of an action plan.

This study will be divided into phases: phase I will be the conduct of the survey on the preparedness of the Laboratory High Schools of SUCs in Region I for the K to 12 curriculum; and phase II on the other hand will be the development of an action plan based on the results of the survey. This includes the content validation of the developed action plan.
