Brief Description
The study documented and examined indigenous patterns and designs found in weaving communities/families in Paoay, Ilocos Norte.

Patterns and motifs were characterized using plane crystallographic properties, color symmetries, and counting sequence patterns, and analyzed based on technique used in weaving.

Distinctive properties were used to categorize the indigenous textiles and compared in terms of technique used and location.

Results of the studies were assessed and the new knowledge acquired will be developed into learning materials and publishable articles.
