Brief Description | Tracing the graduates to determine their employment data and identify core values and competencies needed in the workplace as well as policies to be implemented for improved delivery of teaching-learning processes. This tracer study will be limited to 50 percent in each batch of the BS Accountancy graduates from SY 2009-2010 to 2012-2013. The data to be gathered will be limited to what the questionnaire seeks to determine which includes the demographic profile, educational background, training/advance studies attended after college, employment data and learning experiences of the respondents. The report on the employment of graduates which will be one of the outputs will include all graduates in each academic year (SY 2009-2010 to SY 2012-2013) providing information as to the name of the graduate, licensure examination passed, home address, contact details (mobile phone and email address), position/designation, name of company/office and address of the company. Some of these data will be gathered through social networking (Facebook). The descriptive survey method will be used in this study. The list of graduates in the BS Accountancy program of CBEA will be obtained from the master list of graduates maintained at the CBEA Alumni Office. This study will be conducted at the College of Business, Economics and Accountancy, Mariano Marcos State University, Batac City. The population of the study will consists of the BS Accountancy graduates from SY 2009-2010 to SY 2012-2013. To come up with a sampling frame comprising the number of samples distributed per academic year, 50 percent of the total graduates from the said program will be taken as samples. Standard survey instruments or questionnaires will be given to alumni who come and visit the college. These visiting alumni will be requested to bring along copies for their batch mates. The researchers/enumerators will also visit graduates employed in nearby towns where many graduates are employed. Some data will be gathered through social networking. Frequency counts and percentages will be computed specifically for data presentations in answering specific problems 1 to 5. Data analysis will be based on the 76 questionnaires to be gathered.
