Expected Output | Publication – presentation of research outputs to scientific for a and at least 1 publishable journal article Process – optimized process in qualitative and quantitative analysis of metals from Moringa oleifera and Corchorus olitorius as a potential raw material for the production of health supplements People Services – capacity-building among communities through Moringa oleifera and Corchorus olitorius propagation Partnerships - enhance partnerships with researchers and increased collaborations with other research professionals from government agencies, industries, and academe Policies – Proposed policy on plant propagation and management of malungay and saluyot in the locality Social Impact The study on Moringa oleifera and Corchorus olitorius will target community empowerment and development. Given that Ilocos Norte is abundant in malungay and saluyot, the community will be able to benefit from the value-added products from malungay and saluyot and boost the economy in the region. This will also seek to provide additional income for the farmers. Economic Impact This study intends to provide opportunities to micro, small and medium enterprises in the province that will surely enable economic progress through malungay and saluyot processing and trading. |
