Brief Description
This is the Study 2 of the project "Modeling of the Air Quality Impacts of Trikes and Other Vehicles at the MMSU Campus".
This study is a comparative measurement of air pollutant emissions from trikes and e-jeep will be done in order to have a more concrete basis of advocating more environment-friendly means of transportation.
This study can be done with the following sequence of activities:
- Interview passengers/operators regarding the potential health effects of air pollutants
- Review literature on past studies that measure exposure of passengers/operators/drivers to various pollutants
- Measure air pollutants in selected tricycles and e-jeep
- Recommend possible abatement measures if needed
Parameters to be assessed and methods of measurement:
- VOCs - continuous VOC analyzer and detector tubes
- Particulate Matter - continuous dust monitor
- CO - non-dispersive infrared analyzer
