Biography

Dr. Mark R. Limon is a PhD in Home Economics holder, which he obtained from the University of the Philippines-Diliman as a CHED Faculty Development Program Fellow. He was a visiting scholar at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and Kansas State University, USA, where he worked on a research focused on food safety education. His scholarly work in USA was funded by the Continuous Operational and Outcomes-based Partnership for Excellence in Research and Academic Training Enhancement (COOPERATE), which is administered by the Office of International Linkages (OIL) under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA), University of the Philippines System, Philippines. He is currently a part of the Philippine Food Safety Risk Profiling project funded by the Department of Science and Technology. Dr. Limon assumes different roles in various capacities: as Chief of Product Safety and Standards of the MMSU; as book writer in Food Safety, TLE, and Family Life. He also published research articles in Elsevier, indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, and presented these published papers in countries like Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Italy, and the United States of America.
