Brief Description

This study is under the project "Institutionalizing a Sustainable Fruit Crops Germplasm Collection and Commercialization for Climatic Change Adaptation, Biodiversity Conservation, Health Promotion, Agri-Ecotourism and Income Generation".

Major Activities include:

  1. NSIC registered fruit crops shall be propagated and planted in foundation/scion grove which shall be used for propagation of quality grafted seedlings.
  2. A foundation grove for the registered fruit crops developed by MMSU had been established.
  3. The foundation grove for MMSU Gold Carabao mango had been certified by the National Seed Quality Control Services (NSQCS).
  4. Foundation grove for the other registered fruit crop varieties shall be established and maintained.
  5. Fruits from the foundation/scion grove shall be utilized for product development studies for health and nutrition.

Expected Output

  • NSIC registered fruit crops propagated and planted in foundation/scion grove.
  • Established and maintained a foundation grove for the registered fruit crops.
  • Fruits from the foundation/scion grove shall be utilized for product development studies for health and nutrition.
