Brief Description |
This study is under the project "Institutionalizing a Sustainable Fruit Crops Germplasm Collection and Commercialization for Climatic Change Adaptation, Biodiversity Conservation, Health Promotion, Agri-Ecotourism and Income Generation".
Major Activities include:
- NSIC registered fruit crops shall be propagated and planted in foundation/scion grove which shall be used for propagation of quality grafted seedlings.
- A foundation grove for the registered fruit crops developed by MMSU had been established.
- The foundation grove for MMSU Gold Carabao mango had been certified by the National Seed Quality Control Services (NSQCS).
- Foundation grove for the other registered fruit crop varieties shall be established and maintained.
- Fruits from the foundation/scion grove shall be utilized for product development studies for health and nutrition.
