Biography

Associate Professor Bert A. Gamiao is holder of the degree, Doctor of Philosophy (Linguistics) and currently the Chief of the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTEX) at the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He held various administrative positions like the Chair/Head of the Languages and Literature Department of the College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern University, Dean of the same college and university, and the Principal of the University Laboratory Schools of MMSU (Laboratory Elementary Schools, Laoag and Batac Campuses and Laboratory High Schools, Laoag and Batac Campuses). He is a national trainer and resource speaker of trainings and seminars along language and professional education. His research interests include Assessment, Translanguaging, Discourse Analysis and the Macroskills.
