Brief Description
In this study, field survey will be done in selected coastal municipalities of the province to determine the species composition, relative abundance/density and diversity of sea urchins. A belt-transect method shall be used in the survey. Species of sea urchins shall be identified based on existing identification guides and these will be properly described and documented.
A survey using a structured questionnaire and record keeping activity shall be done among sea urchin gatherers in selected coastal municipalities of the province to determine the extent of fishery of target sea urchins.
