Brief Description | This study aims to develop and validate a resource book in lesson planning for students at the Elementary Education Department of the College of Teacher Education based on the problems of its students in lesson planning. Such problems will be gathered from the findings of studies 1, 2, 3 and 4. |
Expected Output | By the end of this study, it is expected that a resource book in lesson planning would have been developed and validated based on the identified students’ problems in lesson planning. This resource book provides the students an understanding of the policy guidelines on daily lesson preparation for the K to 12 Basic Education Program (DepEd Order No. 42, s. 2016). Further, it details the specific activities and content on the three major components of lesson planning: formulation of behavioral objectives, designing meaningful and child-centered learning activities and planning assessment and evaluation methods that evaluate students’ learning. Sample lesson plans of the different subjects taught in the elementary are also included in the guide. This would surely support and direct the students in designing lesson plans for demonstration teaching. Such lesson planning resource book is expected to contain the following:
