Biography

Jimmbeth Zenila P. Fabia is a dedicated biologist with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating Cum Laude from Mariano Marcos State University in 2022. Her undergraduate research focused on skin tissue repair in ethanol-fed mice, showcasing early interest in innovative biological applications.

Post-graduation, Ms. Fabia worked as a Science Research Assistant on the NICER Project 1, focusing on agri-food condiments, and later as a University Research Associate II on a food security project funded by the Commission on Higher Education. She is currently a Science Research Analyst at MMSU.

Her research presentations have earned recognition, including first place for her work on “Bioactivity and Genome Analysis of Lentilactobacillus hilgardii” at the 24th Regional Convention of the Philippine Society for Microbiology. She has also co-authored several papers and posters, demonstrating her collaborative approach to advancing scientific knowledge. She is also actively involved in training and mentoring students in genomics-based assays and medical microbiology.

Ms. Fabia's trainings includes advanced seminars and workshops in molecular biology, bioinformatics, and biosafety. Honored with multiple awards, including Most Outstanding BS in Biology Student for several semesters, her professional affiliations with the Biology Teachers Association of the Philippines, the Philippine Society for Probiotics and Functional Foods, Inc., and the Philippine Society for Microbiology, Inc. reflect their active engagement with the scientific community.
